HPG Mechanical
A custom website & conversion-system proposal for a 50-year Calgary mechanical authority.

The Situation
hpgmechanical.com runs on a resold plumbing template — default colors, default layouts, and content that was never finished. It reads like it could belong to any plumbing company, anywhere.
"Your Image Alt Text" still appears across service sections.
The same 3 reviews are stacked 3x — reads as fabricated, not real.
Manufacturer logos link nowhere logical, including back to the homepage.
Assets load over HTTP — browsers flag the site "Not Secure."
Footer reads "Powered By: Search Solution LLC" instead of HPG.
Blue-and-orange template colors signal budget handyman, not authority.
Where HPG is bleeding revenue
Emergency calls convert at the highest ticket values — but only if the site is built for a panic-mode user with a phone in hand.
The current journey
The designed journey
70%+ of emergency plumbing/HVAC searches happen on mobile — every extra tap is a lost lead.
The Vision
Not a pre-packaged plumbing template — a custom design built around your business model, your two customer types, and a 50-year legacy worth showing.
Colors, type, and imagery that signal mechanical authority — not a template palette.
Emergency callers reach HPG in one tap, every time.
Distinct funnels for homeowners and property managers.
Menu and page flow built around how HPG works, not a template default.
No placeholders, no duplicate content, no developer footer branding.
Built to support AI chatbots, smart dispatch, and after-hours capture.
Information Architecture
HPG serves homeowners and property managers — but the current site blends both into one identical layout, one identical CTA.
Automation & AI
Leading Calgary mechanical companies are already moving this direction. A custom design is what makes this layer possible — a template can't support it.
Qualifies severity, location & photos, then routes to the on-call dispatcher — no human needed until the truck rolls.
Answers after-hours calls with HPG's branding, captures details, dispatches the on-call tech.
Instant text the moment a request is logged: dispatch status and ETA, automatically.
Residential → residential queue. Commercial → commercial dispatch. No confusion, no lost leads.
Thank-you, review request, and maintenance offer — turning a one-time call into recurring revenue.
Competitive Landscape
Pete the Plumber
Sticky 24/7 header, high-contrast emergency CTA, Trustpilot stars visible
Arpi's Industries
60+ years dominant in hero, separate commercial/residential funnels
Reliance Home Comfort
Live chat on every page, 1,496 reviews displayed, persistent booking CTA
STAT Climate Control
Industrial visual tone, prominent 24/7 number, emergency clearly separated
Evolution Plumbing & Heating
“Book Now” primary CTA, service area shown for Cochrane/Airdrie/Calgary
Every one of these has: thumb-friendly CTAs, color discipline, trust density, and booking infrastructure. HPG has a contact form.
Content & Trust Gap
20 employees and five decades of history is a real advantage — none of it currently shows on the site.
The Roadmap
Each phase is scoped to compound on the last — credibility first, then conversion, then brand, then automation.
01
Visual Credibility
02
Conversion Design
03
Brand & Content
04
Automation Ready
The Bottom Line
50+
years of Calgary mechanical history
20
employees worth showing customers
70%+
of emergency searches happen on mobile
The emergency UX gap alone is costing HPG high-value midnight calls that competitors are already capturing with sticky headers, floating buttons, live chat, and AI automation.
Recommendation: repair the credibility issues, redesign the conversion architecture, build the missing trust content, and install automation-ready infrastructure — before spending another dollar driving traffic to the current site.
Next Steps
Walk through scope and confirm priorities for Phase 1.
Finalize the four-phase build plan and timeline.
Credibility fixes ship first — fast, visible wins.
